Draft Law on Digital Property in preparation

Exciting news has arrived from the Central Bank of Montenegro – drafting and writing of the first Montenegrin Law on Digital Property is planned to begin soon.

The future Law on Digital property is to be created in a team with the Ministry of Finance and Central Bank of Montenegro and shall be based on the EU regulation in this area.
Montenegro does not now have any legislation in place governing cryptocurrencies which leaves much space for possible mistreatment of customers. Unofficially, the draft of the Law on Digital Property shall be available in the middle of next year.
