On 04 May, the Capital City of Podgorica announced a Public call for the selection of users of business zones and the allocation of plots for the construction of facilities in business zones. The deadline for submitting applications is now extended until 05 August 2021.
Future investors have at their disposal 10 business zones which land is at the disposal of and used by the Capital City Podgorica, and which cover an area of 3,328,000 m2, from Tuški put to the turnoff to Golubovci Airport.
Business zones are planned for the following activities: agricultural and agro-industry, as well as processing and wood industry, professional and technical activities, showrooms and warehouses, parking lots and garages, catering and accommodation, etc.
Legal entities and entrepreneurs registered in the Central Registry of business entities are eligible to apply for users and are offered benefits such as:
- lease of land for up to 30 years with an annual rent of 0.01 EUR per square meter;
- possibility to purchase land at the estimated value with the possibility of repayment in 60 monthly installments;
- exemption from payment of the fee for the use of municipal roads for a period of 10 years;
- reduction of the amount of compensation for communal equipping of construction land for facilities in the business zone – for 100% with no Capital City Podgorica obligation of communal equipment.
In addition, for employees in the business zone, the user of the business zone will not have the obligation to pay: (i) contributions for compulsory social insurance on salaries and (ii) personal income tax.
